The benefice includes two churches and covers three villages
on the outskirts of Colchester in Essex.
St Andrew’s, in Alresford, is a recently extended modern building.
It is busy with activities for all ages during the week.
St Mary Magdalen serves the villages of Frating and Thorrington in a beautiful 14th century building set on a farm on the outskirts of Thorrington.
Both churches are of the open evangelical tradition and welcome all ages.
Styles of worship vary from contemporary worship at St Andrew’s with our two bands, through more traditional worship with robed choir and organist at St Mary Magdalen, to the monthly 8.00 am “1662 -
Church life is far from being only on a Sunday. There is an extensive programme of activities for all ages through the week – all are welcome whether church members or not. Please visit “News and Events” and “Young People” for further details.
